Just a thought, could people please stop submitting massive images to this site? It doesn't foreshorten the images so they take up so much of the screen.

I know this doesn't exactly fix the problem you're complaining about, but you can always right click and hit view image to adjust the pic to your screen better. At least that's what I do to gigantic images like this.
